About the Conference

The Strengthening Colorado Families and Communities Conference was started in 2014, takes place every two years, and is a joint collaboration across the family support continuum, from prevention and public health through restoration and child welfare.

We are always excited to have such a diverse and multi-disciplinary group of professionals from all over the state join us. It is our sincerest hope that through active participation in workshop sessions, networking, and robust discussion that each conference participant will grow in their knowledge of effective child abuse prevention strategies and protective factors that strengthen families.

About the 2024 Conference

The 2024 conference will be held September 4-6, 2024 in Keystone, Colorado, and this year, our conference’s guiding theme is Connect. Empower. Thrive.

When working to strengthen families and communities, the power of collaboration and networking cannot be overstated. The connect aspect of our conference theme emphasizes the importance of forging meaningful connections with like-minded professionals, experts, and thought leaders. The conference will provide opportunities to build relationships that will last and have a meaningful impact on the work you do.

The conference is designed to empower you with knowledge, skills, and insights that will stimulate professional and personal growth. We will have thought-provoking keynotes and interesting workshop sessions to equip you with the confidence needed to continue in the work of strengthening Colorado families and communities.

The thrive element of our theme is a call to action – an invitation to explore new ways of thinking, embrace challenges, and find ways to enhance the great work you are already doing. Through dynamic discussions and practical takeaways, we aspire to provide you with the inspiration and strategies necessary to not only survive but to thrive in your endeavors.
